Overview

GardenersDream Patio Fruit Trees are perfect to grow in small gardens, borders & containers. These fruit bushes will grow premium grade crop, producing nutritious and fresh fruits in your garden. They are low maintenance and easy to grow. Very attractive during the Spring blossom months and have a lovely bright foliage during the Autumn season. Malus domestica Apple Trees - Produce heavy crops of fruit earlier in the season and are ready for picking as soon as August. The fruits keep well and can be stored for several weeks after picking. Plant your Apple Discovery, Braeburn, Gala, Granny Smith Jonagold or Elstar in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny area. It does need to be cross-pollinated by another tree from the same flowering group. These lovely Apple trees hold an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Prunus avium Cherry Tree - The cherries hold a refreshing, rich, sweet flavour and good texture perfect for eating fresh off the tree though they do tend to crack and split in wet climates. The spreading branches carry dark green leaves and clusters of small, sweetly scented white flowers during the Spring followed by large, glossy dark red cherries during mid-Summer. Plant your Stella, Morello or Regina variety in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. can be fan trained or grown free standing. Birds tend to eat the fruit, so some netting is advised. Prunus domestica Plum Trees - A hardy and tough tree that can tolerate most soil types except very chalky or badly drained areas. This tree is very reliable and will produce heavy crops of fruit ready for picking in late August. The fruits are preceded by lovely white flowers in April and May that attract birds and butterflies into your garden. The fruits are oval in shape and have a pale red to purple skin flushed with golden-yellow. The flesh is golden-yellow and juicy with a delicious sweet flavour. Prunus domestica 'Victoria' & ‘Opal’ has its heritage in Sussex in the 19th century. Prunus 'Nucipersica' Nectarine Tree - This dwarf fruiting garden tree produces sweet and fresh red-skinned nectarines after vibrant pink flowers during Spring time. The 'Nucipersica' variety are self-fertile, so they don’t require additional trees to help settle. This tree is very reliable and will ripen the fruit ready for picking in July - August. Nectarine fruit plants are easy to grow and don't require any pruning. Situate the tree in a bright, full sun spot. Make sure to keep the specimen well fed and watered. Find more tree options here. GardenersDream potted fruit trees are perfect for growing in patio containers, small gardens and borders. They are easy to grow specimens which will produce heavy crops of nutritious & fresh fruits. Fruit Trees are low maintenance plants with stunning Spring blossom and vibrant Autumn foliage. Supplied at a total height of around 70-100cm (Including pot). Each tree is unique in terms of potential height and spread, but all patio fruit trees will produce large quantities of nutritious and fresh fruits. The delicious fruit grown on the trees are usually accompanied by vibrant shapes and colours of foliage, bark and flowers throughout the seasons. Choose from a variety of tasty fruit bearing trees: Apple, Cherry, Plum, Nectarine, Peach & Pear. It is recommended to plant the trees in any well drained soil, situated in a sheltered sunny position. Feed and water the trees regularly to allow them to settle into their new environment. Most fruit trees should be pruned back during their dormant stage in the Winter period - this will encourage new and developed growth for the following season (please take care when pruning Cherry trees as this can expose them to 'silver leaf' disease).
