Korsteel's JP Sweet Iron Jointed Eggbutt Snaffle Bit is much warmer to the touch than a traditional stainless steel bit. Sweet Iron metal encourages your horse to accept the bit and the contact by increasing salivation. The 'sweet' taste is produced when the metal oxidises in the mouth. The Eggbutt cheeks keep the bit stiller in your horse's mouth than a loose ring snaffle, so this bit is more suited to horses who struggle to maintain a consistent contact. The JP style has a unique curved shape which prevents the bit from hitting the roof of your horse's mouth and avoids direct pressure on the tongue and bars to offer the ultimate comfort.
